Marge learned to play a soprano horn (similar to a trumpet) in the Imperials Drum and Bugle Corps when she was 13.  She left the Corps at the age of 17, and since the instrument belonged to the Corps, that was the end of her horn playing for quite some time!  She graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School, in Kingston, Massachusetts.

When she was 18, Marge accepted the Lord into her life.  Nearly 20 years later, the church she was attending at the time put out a call for musicians and she found a trumpet and began playing the horn again.

Marge has been a member of the Panton church since 1996.  She has played on the worship team on and off since then, and became a member of Clean Slate when it was formed for the Wales mission.

Marge's instruments definitely pose a challenge to her husband and the band's Sound Technician, Dave.  The same microphone is used for Marge's quiet two-piece wooden recorder (used in many folk and Celtic tunes) and her much louder horn instruments.  Dave's got a handle on balancing Marge's levels, though, as well as their 6 children and an absolutely hectic homeschooling schedule for their kids who range in age from 6 to 22.
