During our week in Darlington, we had the privilege of going into several schools.  Both the Music and Religious Education (RE) teachers provided time for us with the students.  The Reed Street Primary School teaches kids from 4 to 11 years old.  Hurworth Secondary School teaches kids from 12 (Year 7) to 16 (Year 11).  Both schools allowed us time for lessons and music, and we thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with students and teachers alike!  In the United States, we don't get an opportunity to present the Gospel in the public (what the U.K. calls 'state') school system; in the United Kingdom it is an integral part of the curriculum (as the RE classes cover all the major World Religions for ALL grades!).  Can't say WE didn't learn something this trip!!!
